Some secrets are kept out of malice but occasionally a secret is kept to protect all those that we love and care about most. My father, Andrew Wyeth, a widely celebrated American artist who specialized in realist watercolor and tempera paintings of people and landscapes is the son of N.C. Wyeth, one of America's most well-known illustrators. I am a product of an affair my father had with my mother while he was still married but estranged from his wife, Betsy. My existence, while known about by his wife, was concealed and hidden out of respect for his wife, children, my mother and most importantly, to protect me.

I was included in my father's last will and testament as his daughter but this fact was kept hidden from me for 29 years after I turned 18 years old. Why? So that multiple parties could steal financially in secret from the inheritance and estate that my  father willed to me. Multiple greedy and treacherous family members and various other parties worked tirelessly creating lies, falsifying documents pertaining to my emotional, mental and physical health in order to keep access and control over my inheritance. Justice has been served, many parties have been charged and justice is being served.

I love my father very much and I look forward to sharing our story with you. He was a man of great talents and so much more. As the founder of The Wyeth Foundation I am to keep my father's legacy going, not only in the art world, but also in humanitarian efforts in the United States. To whom much is given, much is required and I intend to not only meet those requirements but accomplish so much more in the Wyeth Family name.
